我校紧紧抓住人工智能发展的战略机遇，自2018年参与“教育部人工智能助推教师队伍建设行动试点工作”以来，积极开展各项工作，取得了一系列工作成果。且应时应势筹建“人工智能与人类语言重点实验室”，力争在人工智能支持教育教学、教师发展和精准扶智等领域探索标准和规范，树立行业标杆。

2019年12月26日上午，人工智能与人类语言重点实验室成立大会暨研讨会在我校行政楼配楼隆重举行。实验室建设瞄准国家人工智能与教育领域的前沿问题，结合我校“双一流”建设规划布局，面向学科、面向世界汇聚人才。可谓恰逢其时，既有重要的现实意义，又具有长远的历史意义。实验室的成立对于探索人工智能与生命科学的内在联系，挖掘创新技术辅助下的因材施教和终身教育的巨大潜能具有巨大作用与意义，受到媒体的广泛关注。
